CORONAVIRUS TEST IS POSITIVE



LONDON:- The Britain PM BORIS JOHNSON  said on friday that he is tested for the virus and test is positive,he further added that he is self isolating himslf at Downing street but he continue to lead the government by way of video conferancing.

Johnson, experienced mild symptoms on Thursday - a day after he answered at the prime minister's weekly question-and-answer session in parliament's House of Commons chamber. 

It was not immediately clear how many Downing Street staff and senior ministers would now need to isolate given that many have had contact with Johnson over recent days and weeks.
His finance minister, Rishi Sunak, was not self-isolating, a Treasury source said.Click Here

ISOLATING IN DOWNING STREET:-

Previously the government has said that Johnson had the option to delegate to Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab if needed. 
"The prime minister was tested for coronavirus on the personal advice of England's Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty," a Downing Street spokesman said.
"The test was carried out in No 10 by NHS staff and the result of the test was positive," the spokesman said.

JOHNSON STATMENT ON TWITTER:-

"I've taken a test. That has come out positive," Johnson said in a video statement broadcast on Twitter. "I've developed mild symptoms of the coronavirus. That's to say - a temperature and a persistent cough. 

"So I am working from home. I'm self-isolating," Johnson said
. "Be in no doubt that I can continue, thanks to the wizardry of modern technology, to communicate with all my top team to lead the national fightback against coronavirus." 


Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock have both tested positive for coronavirus as the UK's death toll hit 759. 
The Prime Minister said he will continue to lead the “national fightback” against the virus despite being forced to self-isolate.
Nearly two hours later, Mr Hancock tweeted that he too had mild symptoms and was working from home and self-isolating.

    CORONOVIRUS OUTBREAK:-
  1. On Thursday, another 115 people have died in the United Kingdom after testing positive for coronavirus.
  2. The number of confirmed cases rose to 11,658 on Thursday from 9,529 on Wednesday, the health ministry said on day three of a nationwide lockdown ordered by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
  3. Britain was slower than some of its European neighbours to tighten social distancing measures, with Johnson waiting until Monday night to tell pubs and restaurants to close and people to stay at home unless absolutely necessary.
  4. The number of cases and deaths in Britain is lower than in Italy, Spain and France, but health officials and scientists have been warning that the peak of the epidemic lies several weeks ahead.
